I received an email from Hilton in reply .. where he mentioned that he

played from 1967-68 and 1972-74.

Was mostly in 2nd team but did play occasionally in first team.
Played in 4th league Cup Final at Green Point Stadium Oct. 1974, beating Scotland 3-2, and was in 2 I.F.A. tournamounts.

I don't remember Jeff Cohen. I suspect ! he played years later. I still have a number of the club's newsletters and a J Cohen is mentioned in a team selection in July 1981.

I frequented to Green Point FC from 77 onwards ... it was a great part of my growing up .. can recall watching Benny Hill on tape at the club on Thursday nights, as well as UK football reruns ..

and then of course the great Sunday atmosphere for IFA

My cousins were ardent City supporters but then they were like mushrooms living in the shadow of Table Mountains rear ..

Hi Duck, I actually trialled and played under 18's for Hellenic, coached by the great man Pepe. Must sat Jeff Cohen sounds familiar as we all trained together. What really impressed me beyond belief, was the attitude of guys such as Kieth forrest, wilf de bruin, dickie benjamin, mousie byrne as well as the hunter fellow. They were all positive and really nade the stay a warm and welcome one. They were tough when tough was required. The coach then was Ian towers
