Career expo at Freedom Park
Freedom Park, tertiary institutions, companies and prospective employers will come together on Friday to embark on the Careers for a Powerful You (C4U) career expo.

At the expo, Freedom Park officials will exhibit and teach learners about South African history, heritage and culture.

Grade 12 learners from various townships and rural areas in South Africa will access resources, opportunities, and sound advice from professionals, to unlock their full potential and make informed decisions about their career path.

The platform equips Grade 12 learners to transition from high school to tertiary as smoothly as possible.

They are encouraged to be proactive and search for solutions with regard to careers and challenges they currently face.

“Our core focus is to encourage innovation, creativity and produce sustainable development within our economy and communities” said Chief Operational Officer of Careers for a Powerful You, Sedzani Net****enzhe.

“We have identified the following as challenges that lie ahead for our learners - admissions, financial aid, earning extra income, opportunity identification, unemployment, how to start up a business, sound advice and questions about their future,” Net****enzhe said.

Jane Mufamadi, Freedom Park’s acting CEO, said Freedom Park has a vested interest in young people of the country. –
