Converting CD Audio Tracks
#1
I've got a great CD that I want to use in a music trivia quiz but something is not right !!!!

All the tracks are listed as 1 kb .CDA tracks which I cannot copy / convert to the hard disk for further uploading.

Any ideas how to do this ? All I've tried so far is Windows Media Player and DOS. Perhaps there is another easy program that will decrypt them enough for me to do what I need ?

Windows media player will copy them for you....the cda files you mention are pretty meaningless...

Window Media Player should do it - use the Copy From CD button on the side.
Or try MusicMatch Jukebox which is pretty good.

I use MediaMonkey to play but without subscription can't rip so use iTunes to rip.

Windows Media Player will give you a wmv file which you probably need to convert to mp3 if you want to trim it, with something like mp3splitter

(all have free versions)

I don't know what went wrong last time but now it's converting & copying them Big Grin

The only difference is that I set the option to copy protected music...
