Bloemfontein – Free State Premier Ace Magashule today announced that two provincial hospitals will be named after former MECs for Health in the province.
Speaking at the annual State of the Province Address in the Provincial Legislature, Magashule said this was in honour of the two who were freedom fighters.
The Metsimaholo Hospital in Sasolburg will be renamed after the former Free State MEC for Health Fezi Ngubentombi who died in a car accident last year.
According to Magashule, the Metsimaholo Hospital will be known as Fezi Ngubentombi Hospital.
The Ladybrand Hospital in Ladybrand will be renamed after Senorita Ntlabathi who died in 2003 and will be known as Senorita Ntlabathi Hospital.
“I believe that is appropriate to honor the memory of two former MECs,†Magashule said.
In addition, the Trompsburg Hospital in the Xhariep District Municipality will be known as Alfred Nzula Hospital. – SAnews.gov.za
