As the paper reports :
93% of all polled Belgians and other residents were "happy" or "very happy" with their life in Belgium ;
while of all over-75's : fully 87% are "happy" or "very happy" with the medical services they receive.
Hard to beat , on any of the continents , methinks!

quite impressive .. my folks are in Eire and they are quite happy with how pensioners are treated

"Lots of unhappiness come to those , who want in wain , for what they can't have..., and to those others , involved , around them " ( only half-joking , of course ! )
Yet , could it be that , maybe , the (usually : reasonable)
Belgians ,
whose little country anyway , historically : is the favourite play ground,
for the Krauts and the Brit-Poms and their colonial sub-servients , and also : Frogs and Yankees ( inter alia ) , to come and enact Imperialist-domination murderous-inhuman , historically-misrepresented World Wars in...
( as has been obseved , for long and bloody years , on two separate occassions , in the previous Century ...)...
or : that
just maybe : those Belgians , they might even know a thing or two , worth knowing
( about being happy and/or satisfied , with one's little lot , seeing as , in world-terms , they are doing : O.K. , or better...)?????

I am amazed at how these Belgians could build up a country in such a way, after the last war!!! Amazing - one of the economic wealthiest countries in the world!!!
They are a very hard working people - cannot keep up with them! We have found them very critical of themselves and cannot easily receive affirmation.
But wealth has a price! Just listen to the news - one of the highest suiside rates in the world. Especially among teenagers and the forties! There is just such a performance spirit about them.
