Kingfisher
#1
Leaving work last night, Aoife, one of my colleagues, spotted a patch of bright colour under a tree. On closer inspection it turned out to be a kingfisher. He was alive but stunned.

So we bundled him in a wool hat and parked him next to a heater for a few hours last night - he perked up very quickly and was released.

I wonder if the sleet brought him down or if he flew into something? This is the second bird we have found like this - the last one was a sparrowhawk. That one we also warmed up and set free.

Any ideas?

Probably the sudden cold snap BB.

Well done for saving these precious birds! Big Grin
