I love this poem! There's been so so many times in my life when the Lord was carrying me - and I didn't know it!
Footprints...............
One night a man dreamed he was walking along a beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life in which there were two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. But he saw that at the saddest points of his life, there was only one set of footprints. "Lord! You said that once I decided to follow you, you'd never leave me. So why, during my most troublesome times, is there only one set of footprints?"
The Lord replied. "My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
