South african ID book for teenage son

Ive had a look at the SA house website and cant seem to find out how to go about applying for my son's sa ID book. Has anyone done this? any advice would be greatly appreciated ..... ta very much

When my son (he turns 21 this year) applied for his adult passport, we were informed that you could only apply for an ID book in South Africa, I assume this is still the case.

Oh, maybe you could be correct, my sister in law is also trying to find out how to apply for her son so as soon as I know more info I will post it here ... thanks for replying

we eventually went into London and applied am now waiting for ID book to arrive.
