was watching MTV Top 10 at 10 and they played their Top10 eighties songs

what memories ...

they started off with Madonna at #10 and had Madness [My House] .. Wham .. Michael Jackson [Billy Jean] .. A-Ha ... Pet Shop Boys ... Midnight Oil [Beds are Burning] INXS [Need you tonight] .. Human League [Don't you want me baby]

and at 1 ... Cyndi Lauper [Girls Just Wanna Have Fun]

wow .. what memories

will now attempt to run through memories with your assistance .. as a memory returns .. will post the artist and their song

ooops ... well, then TheDuck is happy that they didn't do 2 songs by madonna

will edit the above post

one of the most interesting of persons out of all the artists has been the lead singer Peter Garrett, who has gone into politics in Australia. Their music always had a political slant to it and was often environmentally slanted

rock on

I can remember a friend in Standard 6 singing 'Get into the groove' because she liked it so much. then she realised it could have sexual connotation and I remember her embarrassment :haha:

We upgraded to digital over the weekend and must admit that we have stuck with a handful of the music channels that play largely 80's music - it has resulted in an extended tour down memory lane...
