Working While On Maternity Leave
#1
Quick question....

I was given access to my office email before I left for maternity leave last week. This was basically just so that any emails that I receive can be forwarded and so that nothing falls in between the cracks....

Now I received an email from my boss asking me for stuff that needs to be done... can she do that? Am I not supposed to be on maternity leave?

I only got access to help them out, I get nothing out of the deal except my SMP which is not a lot....

What do you suggest I do??

I would get advice from either the citizens advice bureau or the dept of trade and industry. Have a look at their websites.

You are legally entitled to your maternity leave and your employee has to abide by that.

What a rotten place you work for, Beanie! :noway: I agree with Joan's advice. You have two weeks of compulsory maternity leave following the birth of your child! Click here for a link to Government Legislation on Maternity Leave.
