She likes wine too but knows very little about it - she does have an interest so next time we are in SA we want to visit the Cape and do a wine tour.

Or you could hop over the La Manche Chunnel :
- to Aquitaine and "do" the splendid city of Bordeaux , investigate Saint Emillion , maybe drive to Biarritz and St.Jean de Luz etc ;
- to Dijon , Chalon , Beaune and Macon in Burgundy , for some finer reds and whites ;
- to Province , for refreshing Rose ;
- to Languedoc , for lighter Cabernet Sauvignons ;
- to Reims and Epernay , for tours of many miles of chalk-caves , in which champagne proper is created...
...and we haven't even mentioned Italy , Spain , Germany , Slovenia etc...
