Seems as my memory is wrong (I think I am going senile) I did some research (I searched my HD) and the Bee Gee's also recorded the song "Words" (prior to F.R. Davids) although they were two completely different songs...
It happened to John Lennon too... "(Just like) Starting Over" had to be retitled that from the original title which was "Starting Over" because someone else had released a song with the same title...
Ditto for Boney M's and Styx's "Boat on the river".
