Who has seen it? What did you think?

Am still waiting to see it. Three of my friends have been, two thought it was great, and very true to the book, whilst one was not overly impressed but still thought it a fun movie.

I saw it last night and, frankly, I was alittle disappointed.
I really like Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent
I think they have done Zaphod Beeblebrox well,
And the other characters were ok,
And it had its funny moments...
But I just didn't feel the movie had that wow factor that all good movies have. Some of the special effects were fantastic, I'll admit, but perhaps HGTTG is just not meant for the big screen.

I only noticed on my departure day from my last UK visit that there was this movie I hope they release it here in Denmark too...

How does it compare to the "original" TV show ?

The little snippets I have seen of the TV show didn't correlate with how I imagined it, so I've never bothered.

Got my grubby little paws on the DVD today so I can't wait to get home from work
