Full Version: Sato, Pizzonia punished for crashes

BARÂ’s Takuma Sato will drop ten places on the grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix in two weeksÂ’ time as penalty for his clash with Michael Schumacher at Spa on Sunday.

Formula One World Championship, Rd16, Belgian Grand Prix, Race, Spa Francorchamps, Belgium, 11 September 2005Sato ran into the rear of SchumacherÂ’s Ferrari going into the La Source hairpin just after the safety car had pulled back into the pits on lap 14. After consultating the two drivers, stewards deemed the Japanese star responsible for the accident, which put both men out of the race.

Meanwhile, WilliamsÂ’ Antonio Pizzonia was fined for crashing into Juan Pablo MontoyaÂ’s McLaren in the closing stages of the race as the Brazilian attempted to unlap himself. Both men were forced to retire as a result of the incident.

Personally I think that Sato should commit (to) Hare Krishna and the Pizzaman should be given a medal :haha:
