...quite a nice place , all-in-all , I reckon ?
History , weather , beaches , hills , Larnaca/Nicosia/ruins/turkish territories...
= pleasant memories
( only if you happen to like silly things such as : cafe' society , mod boutiques , polite taxi-drivers in super-clean late-model Mercs , fab greek'n'turkish grub , lots of pleasant and obliging east-Europeans serving U nicely and with a smile , reasonably-priced alcohol , safe: crime-wise , friendly to English-speakers...yupp , by the way , I happen to like all of the afore-mentioned ! ) ;
such a pity , then , about the :
a ) pretty poor , disappointing general grocery shopping
and
( a big , capital "B" )
B ) ( as reported by all friends and others , who could be trusted ) : poor , poor , poor NHS style medical services , even if/when U pay , or pay : a Lot , for them !
I rest my case , but many Europeans seem to live very happily , ne'ertheless in their own little heaven(s) , there....
