Need help quick have W32.Blast Worm virus and cant stay online long enough on safe mode to run the FIX.IT. does anyone have any suggestions quickfix
Try and run some anti virus software like http://www.sophos.com

once you have deleted the virus you should then run the http://www.microsoft.com/security/incide....asp#steps

which are the secuirty updates for it.

Good luck
Yes - but we need a pro to reply to this as you need to do some rather tricky stuff to do this in your register....

Sadly I don't recall who was the big help at the old site....

BADGER was the oke
Have you managed to fix it yet Dani?
If you're not scared then try this....

BUT BE VERY CAREFUL !!!!!!

VERY VERY CAREFUL !!!!!

DID I STRESS BEING CAREFUL ENOUGH ???

Click on Start and then run...

Type in "regedit"

Then select the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

after that go to the "microsoft" library

then under that "windows"

and then "current version"

and finally "run"

delete (and this is where I become unsure) anything that shouldn't be there... For the life of me I cannot recall what the virus calls itself and be careful that you do not delete the wrong thing....

All of this should be done when off-line !!! When done go on-line and get the latest update for you anti virus program, download it and remove all traces of the worm...
