Here we go with this years new thread, I hope it works out and that everyone enjoys it.

I've just glanced through the calendar and some look easy, some difficult and others are impossible to reproduce in a forum format, so those we'll have to give a miss or perhaps I can scan them and we can do it that way....

Anyway, here is the first one:

The word below has three useful anagrams. Can you find them?

SOAR
Ello, ello! Wahey, good to see this thread so early Smile

I can only see two ... oars and Rosa ...
sora

a small, short-billed rail, Porzana carolina, of marshy areas of North America.

Also called sora rail, Carolina rail.
I too thought that rosa was a word but alas.

But since you got 2 out of 3 I'm going to give a  Big Grin

The last word is OSAR

PARALLEL PLAYS

Find a five-letter word from the bottom row of letters that will form five otker words when played parallel to the word FOOTLE

A D I N O R U
Well, you can get Radio out of there... am I on the right track?

Remember it's got to make five 2-letter words too Big Grin

 as the answer is DRAIN

The five other words ar OD, OR, TA, LI and EN.

Playing the "F"

Rearrange the letters in the words below to make 3 six-letter words when an "F" is added.
