With our childrens diets being the way they are, and food production the way it is, it seems the only alternative these days is to supplement our children's diets with multivitamins. I've also started giving my children fish oil tablets as well, and it occurred to me - are we turning our kids into the next pill-popping generation through our well-meaning actions?
What do you think?
Dudette, yes one could look at it that way, but I think one should continously tell our children that these are vitamins to help their diets and NOT a supplement to correct eating. I think if a child is brought up with a balanced diet and given vitamins I think they won't become 'the next pill-popping generation'. I give my children vitamins everyday, but they also know they don't get everything out of a tablet and that wholesome food is best. Smile
