My daughter absolutely inhales books, and she's finished all of the Dolphin diaries books, most of the Lucy Daniels books, and Enid Blyton is way below her now.

My daughter has enjoyed the Roman Mysteries Series by Caroline Lawrence, and the Animorphs. Oh, and JAcqueline Wilson. What other books might appeal to her at this age? (Age 9, going on 29! :haha: )

Jemlet

At nine I enjoyed the "Ann of Green gables" series and the "What Katy did" series. Let her browse the library shelves and choose her own subject to your approval Smile
Willard Price books - good reading aimed at +- 12 yr olds, and educational too.
Thanks, Jemlet and eteechah. She's read the Willard Price books and loved them, but not Anne of Green Gables. I'll try point her that way - at least another 5 or 6 books in that series, isn't there? Smile

I used to love those Smile
Dudette, I am not much of a reader myself, but my daughter also enjoyed The Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, Railway Children, Little Woman at this age and a bit older. What about the Sweet Valley series?
