Yes , after some 3 weeks of insufferable , below 0C "Russian" winter here , from last Sunday , the temperatures got a little bit better ;
so , I took the family ( read : 1 wife + 1 Schnauzer , both with proper passports ) to lunch and some essential shopping in pictoresque Lille , in nearby France ;
as the main driver , sadly , I couldn't imbibe too much of excellent St. Emillion rouge , during said lunch ( simple menu , yet a perfect one , in presentation and all it's other aspects ; well , we are talking La Belle France , afterall ! ) ;
- which then made the shopping afterwards : ever more painful , what with the incredible groceries' inflation in our here parts and ridiculous hypermarkets' strategy of limiting the assortment of lower-priced items ( as to optimise their profitability , no doubt ) ...;
we got back to Capital of EUrope early evening , to witness yet more assorted madmen "demonstrating" against Israel's genocide , blocking traffic , smashing and looting shops and burning many cars ...c'est La Vie !!!(?)
