We have an Albanian couple on the course that I am helping with at the moment, and I so enjoy being around them and visit with them. They are very different from I thought they would be.

Well, the little I know about Albania is thanks to Mother Teresa, as she was from there. When she was a child there was a very well defined high society in place, but the political situation was turbulent to say the least. If I am recalling correctly, her father was assassinated/murdered as he was a well-connected businessman with political interests.
After she left the country, whatever new government came into power would not allow her mother or her sister to visit her.
