Elderflower Cordial - Bushbaby - 21-06-2004 Webtalk - our flowering season has only just started - so pls post or email your recipe and I can get cracking this end. Had lemongrass flavoured olive oil at the weekend - most sublime taste - can highly recommend it to anyone who happens across it. Elderflower Cordial - Pronkertjie - 12-06-2008 [COLOR="DarkOrchid"]It is elderflower cordial season again!!! It is a bit difficult to get citrus acid this year. I just love the taste of it with ice cold sparkling water. It is just so easy to make... will be happy to post the recipe if anyone needs it. ![]() Elderflower Cordial - TheDuck - 13-06-2008 I think the wifey makes this drink this side what do the flowers look like I must confirm whether I am on the right track and if so then I will also ask to share her recipe ![]() :jive: Elderflower Cordial - Pronkertjie - 13-06-2008 [COLOR="Purple"]They are clusters of tiny white flowers with a distinct smell. 20 flower heads (if small pick more) 1 kg sugar 1 1/2 lt water 2 lemons 50g citric acid Shake the heads to get rid of any creepy crawleys and put it in a bowl. Bring water to boil, add sugar - make sure all the sugar disolves. Pour over flowers. Add lemon zest and cut up lemons and then the citric acid. Let stand for 24 hours. Strain through a cloth.... and enjoy. Serve with ice cold sparkling water and a slice of lemon. :daisy: :daisy: :daisy: |
