What song(s) gives you "goosebumps"? - Curio - 23-02-2005

Some of the ones that give me goosebumps are...........

"The living years" by Mike & The Mechanics.
"Africa" by Toto.
"Amazed" by Lonestar.
"Sailing" by Rod Stewart.

I could probably name a few more too but thought I'd just mention the above as they are the first that came to mind.

Definately Mike & the Mechanics "the living years"

when we lived in SA.. whenever I heard that song I would end up in tears...my Dad was in UK and I was over there.....we used to belong to a football club...all expats...and whenever there was a function they would always finish with that song.....not a dry eye in the place.

Theres also a Phil Collins one that has some special memories.....not sure about the title...but the words are "if leaving me is easy, then the coming back is harder"!!!!

don't know so much about that, when I sang it at our kid's local kindergarten they looked more at me as though I was mad, than one affected by goosebumps

Big Grin

Duckie duckie duckie....

any poor kid having to endure a session of a duck on helium trying to warble through a national anthem in a foreign language is almost guaranteed to bring the odd giggle... Wink :innocent:

Just picturing it has almost made me splutter my morning coffee :haha:

Though I must add that remembering the freedom marches from outside the Cape Tech in the early 90's with 10 000 singing native voices was something indeed! :thumbs:

As for the goosebumps.. there are some songs I can add:

The tearful ones..
* 'Don't give up' - I think Sarah Brightman and Aaron Neville?
* 'Everybody hurts' - REM
* 'Tears in Heaven' - Eric Clapton

Some nostalgic ones...
* 'With or without you' - U2
* 'Somebody' - Depeche Mode
* 'Living a boy's adventure tale' - Aha

and a whole host of classical music
