IÂ’ve heard people say; with that person I trust with all that I own,
Yet, they wonÂ’t trust in Jesus; so the way to them can be shown.
They trust another man, then cry when theyÂ’re deceived,
Yet, they trust not the Living God, the One in whom we can believe.
They walk with men of the world, being lead deeper into sin,
Still they shun the hand of Jesus, which has the power to win.
They cry out to the world, when theyÂ’re down and in their deepest need,
The world walks on by the cries of help they do not heed.
When all the time there stood Jesus waiting patiently,
To give eternal life and life more abundantly.
