Is it necessary/important to do "windows" updates?
I always keep updated with anti-virus & adaware but am curious to know about the "windows" updates too.
Would appreciate any advice about this.

There are always bug fixes being done and not to mention all the vulnerability problems that are always being exploited in Window$. I'm not a fan of Microsoft but must use it due to the nature of my work related computing both at work and at home. My alternative is Linux whenever I can and am able to use it that is my preferred choice.

When I go to "windows" update I notice that there are quite a few updates to do though.
I basically just want to keep my pc in a good running order.

Just to emphasise .. it is very important to keep all the Windows programs updated at all times .. ok:
