Well done

Time for you to do a :cheer:

Six practice bombs were mistakenly dropped on the town at 12:30 A.M. on July 5, 1943, by a U.S. Air Force B-17 on a training mission from nearby Dalhart Army Air Base. The 100-pound bombs - intended for a range 30 miles away - hit a church and a garage. There were no casualties.

W.C. Fields's tombstone reads "I'd rather be in Philadelphia".

Well done Sooibrand

But as it is majority wins I get to do a :cheer: Big Grin

It simply reads "W.C. Fields 1880-1946". However, Fields, a Philadelphia native, did consider the humorous epitaph at one time. Another variation of the rumoured epitaph read "I'd rather be dead and buried here than alive and living in Philadelphia".

What future leading lady made a brief, uncredited appearance in the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore as a girl eating an ice cream cone?
