Afrikaans music in the UK - picanin - 08-04-2004 I have just taken a look at various websites in the UK selling SA music and video. 99.9% of all the music being sold is by black performers. Now I know it is ultra cool for loads of Saffers to pull out the Brenda Fasi or Lucky Dube CD's to prove their non racist credentials. However surely there is a market for other SA music in the UK even if just on a small scale? Afrikaans music in the UK - berlyn - 08-04-2004 as there are so many very good sa artists!! you will just have to save the pounds and go to sa to buy them or get relatives and friends to bring cds out for you .... Afrikaans music in the UK - picanin - 09-04-2004 I know I can shop online but that isnt my point. Eish! Why do the shops that provide mainly for white Saffers not stock some music by white SA artists too? Instead they stock the stuff that some saffers only play when there pom frineds come to visit just to prove how Rainbow Nationy they really are. And now they lose sales to those of us forced to buy our stuff from SA.
