A 70 year old man was arrested for shop lifting and appeared before a judge in Cincinnati.
The judge asked him, "What did you steal?"
"A can of peaches, your honor," replied the elderly man.
The judge asked why the man stole the can of peaches to which he responded, "because I was hungry."
The judge enquired how many peaches were in the can and the man answered that there were 6.
The judge stated, "I will then give you 6 days in jail."
Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment, the man's wife spoke up and asked the judge if she could say something.
The judge asked the lady what she you like to say.
"He also stole a can of peas," she replied.
