Well, the answer has been around a lot longer than Jaluka, though the answer played in SA.

When did Juluka form ??? A guess would be early 70's so we're probably loking for a 60's non SA artist that 'toured' SA.... ???

No, Toto's Africa was mid 80's....

in the early 70's I'd barely gotten rid of the training wheels on my bicycle....

Come to think of it, I'd not even moved to SA at that time...

Not to do with capabilities, we all have different tastes in music.

Problem is, that with a title like African, it is almost impossible to research!

Not really, it depends on how you structure the search. I am working at the moment so don't have the time to really get stuck in.

Barclay James Harvest

Through the eyes of a child
There's no wrong or right
No reason to hate
No need for a fight
No colour, no creed
No malice, no greed
Till the child becomes a man
Give up your freedom
Hand back your rights
Then change your colour now
You're black not white
And there'll never be a piece of the action
Now you're an African
