It would be wise to remember that babies follow their own timetable, and the minute you have them sussed, they change all the rules! Babies also often go through growth spurts, and you'll probably have a few days of her guzzlling every sustenance she can, and then settling back to her usual routine. If it continues more than a few days, I'm sure your Health visitor will be happy to check her over for you, just to set your mind at rest.

ja, i thought i had this feeding under sontrol, the past few days she was doing a good 20-30 mins every 3 hours but today, she has gone the odd 1.5 hours, then 3 hours. She is 2 weeks old tomorrow and i rem;ber the midwife saying something about a growth spurt around 10 days - maybe this is it|?
also - she has been feeding the 20 mins on the one breast (then swopping to the other breast for th next feed) - the midwife seems happy with this - i note some people swop them, 10 mins each breast????
