Hi Jewels!!
I'm the mom that Pronks is talking about. Our baby was completely unplanned and I was in an awful mood the whole pregnancy. However once my little princess was born everything changes. I won't lie to you - there were days that I wanted to hit my head against a wall, but on those days it is always good to have a third party there - give the baby to somebody else and just go and take a nice long hot bath or read a book for an hour. The baby can feel it if you are stressed and irritated and it makes the baby more stressed and irritated - try to break the cycle and you will both be fine.
I may be crucified for this but I really did not try and force my baby into a routine - she is a happy go lucky baby who takes things as they come. I'm not a routine person so it would have been very stressful for me to try and have a routine with the baby so for us it was better to just take things as they come.
Enjoy every moment of your baby - mine is now 8 months old and I'm already sad because she is growing up so quickly.
The love you'll feel for that little thing is the most amazing thing in the world. Don't excpect to get love back right away - the first few months are essentially a very one sided love but that first smile or the first time they put up their little arms to be picked up makes up for everything.
Good luck and treasure every second - even when they pee, puke or poo on you!!!
I still love chocolate.
