Totally agree. The 30D is a fantastic camera and, like you, I won't upgrade for a mere novelty but the 5D is a different beast and would be a worthwhile option. I have 2 EF-S lenses though so I would be giving those up if I changed to a full-frame; given that I am more into wildlife photography the 1.6 crop doesn't do me any harm so I'll stick with that flavour for the foreseeable future.
