Hi Folks, After all previously written, Jillibeans is back at home.
Mom in the meantime has staged a remarkable recovery ( despite all doom and gloom prognoses from the doctors).
Jillibeans and her sister in law had to make some tough deciscions during the visit to SA about her Moms belongings and continued care. They ( with full agreement of the rest of the family) (and based on doctors advice) decided to close her flat and to sell the furniture and to use the funds towards settling telephone acconts, outstanding rent and for future frailcare (Mom previously had her own flat in the old age facility) in the same facility.
This I must add at considerable costs to ourselves and Jillibeans sister in law (we have to pick up the Tab for an additional R4000 per month).
Added to this, Her Moms mental faculties are somewhat muddled after the stroke, and during the last contact Jillibeans had , Her Mom is threatening with Lawyers and suing etc. because of the selling of 'some' of her belongings.
This is all very distressing to say the least (and of course causes elevated stress in our home that we do not need after the expenses for the unplanned trip to SA), after all , the steps taken were all made in the old girls best interests, but She does not see it that way.
You can therefore imagine our surprise to receive an email from a lawyer/accountant asking for a list of all assets sold, as well as accounting for the funds. I am so glad that Jillibeans and her sister in law,kept accurate records and kept receipts etc. for all transactions made during the time there.
This leaves a really bad taste in the mouth and has made me extremely angry and bitter.
