There was an attempted burgalary at our "sold" house last week, one of the neighbours saw somw suspicious looking characters lurking about, she dialled 999... By the time the police arrived they found three young men in our garden shed, looking for something to use to break into the house. All three ran away, one was caught immediately, the other after a helicopter search and the third one the next morning. I have only praise for the way the police acted here. In fact, they phoned on Saturday evening to tell us of the progress of the case and this afternoon we were phoned and offered "psychologistal assistance" if we felt we need it...
I am sure many people would take a "sickie" after such a trivial incident, only thing is we have to replace the whole kitchen window and some bits of two doors , where they caused some damage with the only thing we miss, a huge screw driver.
