At last! We have a beautiful grandson!!! :tequila:
He is gorgeous! Our little Logan was born at 8:30 on Friday, 31st August.
My daughter had a membrane sweep on Thursday at 11:30. While in Tesco mind you, her contractions started at 18:30. They were bearable but at 10:30 she said she had to go to the hospital as they were 4 minutes apart!! :yikes:
We all went to the hospital where they examined her at 11:30 and she was 3cms dialated. She quickly became addicted to the gas and air :thumbs: and growled at anyone who dared even suggest taking it away for minute! :rofl:
At 4am they examined her again and she was already 7cms dialated! :yikes: This was when she buckled and begged for an epidural!
As we are less than a 5 min drive away from the hospital I decided to go home and get some shut eye for an hour. My daughter phoned me just under an hour to say she was fully dialated and they were telling her to not push, but let him descend naturally. I charged to the hospital!!
She started pushing but close to an hour they called the consultant who decided to do a suction as my little girl was tiring and baby was starting to stress a little.
Bear in mind, that before this she had had foetal growth scans because they were worried about baby being very small.
WELL!!! My little girl pushed out an 8 pounder!!!! :yikes: No wonder she struggled a little!!
She was a trooper!! I am so proud of her! I watched my grandchild come into the world and it is the best present she could have given me! We are so much closer!
Anyway, they are well, daddy is besotted and is forever changing nappies! Mommy's milk has come in beautifully and baby has taken to the boob like a Saffa to a braai! :p
