After we worked through the dissapointment part and all 'if and wish bits' the little guy arrrived hale and hearty in October 2006.
Our daughter has unfortunately fallen out with the father of the child, but he visits regulary to see his son, and also contributes financially to his upkeep. We are on good terms with the other grandparents and the father of the child so all seems OK.
We too felt that we are too young to be grandparents, but now Jèan is here we would not have it any other way.
Fortunately the 9 months pregnancy seems to help one adjust to the idea.

Thankees for this Jimswin. I am starting to accept it now. Having just had my 40th Birthday last week, I am not exactly feeling a 'spring chicken', especially with my daughter getting me a 'Super Nan' card from 'the bump' for my birthday!! ........(She has my wicked sense of humour...
) I am sure I will enjoy the experience!
