Hi there, I recently updated my comp with the Windows update and have found the computer to be suffering with speed problems intermittently
has anyone heard of similar reports and as to whether there is something we can do to improve matters, please?
Any assistance appreciated
Thanks

Have you tried running the usuall spy ware detection programs? There are two readily available on
http://www.download.com and both are free.
Adaware (by Lavasoft) and Spy Bot. Try running them both and see what comes up.

look in task manager (ctl/alt/del Task Manager) on the 'processes' tab, the 'mem usage' column shows what is using your memory...
if you see anything your are unsure of (probably lots!) google them for more info - initially look up the ones running under your user before going into the System ones

Spybot worked removed Windows Active desktop and something else and the normal cookies that Ad-aware would pick up
hopefully it will all be ok now
thanks
