My son is now in his second yr of high school and an only child, i seem to be having a problem with him at the moment and wondering if any of the other Moms have this problem...
Every Monday for about 4 yrs now he is coming home with head-aches, now i have taken him to the doctor - nothing wrong there, taken him to the optometrist, his glasses and eyes are fine.....
Some ppl have mentioned perhaps maybe it is the noise in the school - kids making a racket which is contributing to this....but surely after so many years he would be okay now...and why a Monday? He is just as noisy as the kids - :crylol: :crylol:
Does you perhaps have a solution or wot can i do?
I don't like the idea of giving him pills or muti everytime...

Hi cubbie,
Mine is also in year 8 now....Teenager hormones will be kicking in soon I feel!! :yikes:
You mention that it is only on Mondays....that is very strange, unless he does not look forward to school after the weekend, but then once he is there, its okay? I was also thinking of a certain subject that he maybe don't like and have more of on a Monday but you said it is for the last 4 years, so that can't be it, as he would have been in primary school too....
Have you asked him if anything is bothering him at all?
Hope all will be okay for him

Does he drink a lot of tea/coffee/coke at the week-ends...
If he takes a lot of caffeine on the week-ends then he could be getting withdrawal symptoms by monday afternoon....
When I re-read this it sounds like a joke...it isn't.
I used to get head-aches on saturdays. I used to drink coffee at work ('cos the tea was crap) but never at home, where I drink tea. When I stopped drinking coffee at work, the headaches stopped.

That's probably the best thing to do Icecub. Hope everything is ok & the headaches will ease.

Cubbie, insist that they refer him to a specialist. That will probably be the best thing to do.
