The stadium was not England's home ground, but the first field on the left as you drove onto the common (from the city direction). There was a club house with, I think, GREEN POINT, painted on the side
You can see it on google earth, the corner is next to the main road, and some tennis courts run along from the top end of it
There was a season in the late 80's (about 87 I think) when England had no home ground so we were given the stadium... (think it was 87 as i was in Standard 6 then)....and Stevie Flynn Jnr showed us how to 'Pop a Seagull' with Eno's which in turn scarred me for life! lol :crylol:
