Played with Saun Buchanan many years, he was also a personal friend as he was going out with John Fraser's sister Sheila. The Goble brothers were after me, I don't think they were in the team at the time. By the way, just remembered another two from the first team, Robbie Pomario also Raymond Milne. The Glen I was thinking of was actually Glen Jordan. He did a spell with City and then played 2nd division football in Germany if I am not mistaken.
So tell me a bit about yourself. Name, when you played, what teams, etc.
I only started playing in the Cape Western league the year you left the country. But vaguely recall a player called Spice who played for Marist. Played for Marist juniors and then Marist 1st team for a while. I also played for Scotland with many of the players you mention Jan Stipp, the goalkeeper who always played an absolute blinder against the portuguese, Willie McGarvey, Jimmy Miller, John Fraser, Sean Buchanan, Danny Smyth, Bobby Cameron, Glenn Morrison, and my brother Angus Campbell.
Rember playing against Italy with Gargiulo at full back, when I came of the pitch he had kicked me so that I had stud marks up to my waist.
Rober Pomario also played for Italy, remember Raymong Milne very well and had many a drink with him and David Croeser Johnny etc when we used to go to the Vasgo Da Gama after training in Greenpoint.
