Morning G!
Your phone calls have been really appreciated! :blom: My next chemo is due on June 20th. Today I go for the first set of blood tests to see how I am coping. One of the areas the chemo attacks is the bone marrow which is why the immune system becomes compromised but I am feeling strong this morning with my tea in hand and the obligatory dry biscuit!
As for alcohol, I have not touched a drop can you believe....even the thought makes me feel queezy
My diet has consisted of plain omlette, jacket potato, beans on toast, cheese and tomatoes. I eat six small snacks/meals a day. I have really enjoyed the nut mixes and dried fruits. I also am eating yogurt each day. I cannot deal with anything spicy at the moment or anything rich. It's plain, plain, plain and I am feeling great.
Will let you know when the books arrive. I am looking forward to taking time out to read....a rare luxury for me.
:thx:

Sue,
You have a way with words. A beautiful way, and I've always enjoyed reading your thoughts on life.
I guess this is just another journey you have to make and I look forward to being there with you, and the rest. In an odd kinda way. Albeit a close 6000miles and a keyboard away.
There is inspiration to be found in the coming pages - of that I am sure. humour, laughter, fun.. and a little sadness I expect too.
I can't promise to reply to all of your posts, nor will I try. I will, however, read it, digest it and then get in touch. Sometimes on here - mostly just 'being there'. And the odd recipe adustment thrown in too
We'll do cocktails again.. proper ones: One's the doctors don't reccomend, yet drink copious amounts of too. Or maybe thats just the whole S.A.T.C vibe here in the UK right now LOL!
As always and forever in my thoughts, prayers and good wishes for the times ahead
G
