Thanks...you folk are so generous! I have many invitations to go and stay with people, especially from volunteers who have been out here to work with our families.
The challenge for me is that I have such a big family and they are spread out in the north of England (Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, North Wales) that I will not have time to be able to see and visit everyone, but thank you!! That is really very kind.
Have started the packing and it spurred me on to have a BIG sort out and so now I have bags and bags of clothes for some of our struggling families next year. I am hoping to see snow..... my sister-in-law has sent a pair of boots and thick coat to my mums for me so I am hoping that I can throw some snow balls!!!!!
My hair is growing bit by bit although it is now totally grey but that does not bother me. I have not worn my 'dookies' in over two months. In the beginning, people did look at me but I cannot say it bothered me too much.
One poor chap said to me in all innocence " your brave having your head shaved in support of Cancer week". When I then told him I had cancer recently, I think he wished for that great hole in the ground to open up and swallow him on the spot :duh:
They say in about a year I will be able to add some colour so now I have a very short, but neat cut but I am bringing along my wooly hat because I think my ears will freeze :mmm:
Must get back to the packing........
