Once you have settled everything take some tme for yourself. Not her, not family, not friends - but you.
I also agree with Iceman - staying friends will not bode well when you feel ready to have another relationship. My partner is pally with his ex and it causes all sorts of probs. She texts at ungodly hours - love life drama's are played out. I tolerate it to a point coz of his little one, tho I give partner grief when it all becomes too much. Not good if you want a peaceful life with your new love.
Edinburgh might seem small now - but you have the same group of friends. It's larger than you think - new people to meet - new groups etc. You will rarely bump into her friends and if you do put a smile on (even though it'll hurt inside) and let them think that you are fine. This will get back to her and she will be the one in pain - " he's moved on before me" or some such.
Most of all remember you are not alone and we are here for you.
Or if none of the above helps - you can always empty her conditioner bottle and fill it up with Veet. The more her hair comes out the more she'll condition it.
