"Windows" updates.
#1
Is it necessary/important to do "windows" updates?
I always keep updated with anti-virus & adaware but am curious to know about the "windows" updates too.
Would appreciate any advice about this.
Thanks.

Yes I would think so. There are always bug fixes being done and not to mention all the vulnerability problems that are always being exploited in Window$. I'm not a fan of Microsoft but must use it due to the nature of my work related computing both at work and at home. My alternative is Linux whenever I can and am able to use it that is my preferred choice.

I hope that this helps.

Regards

Thank you very much for the reply HH. Much appreciated.
When I go to "windows" update I notice that there are quite a few updates to do though.
I basically just want to keep my pc in a good running order.

Thanks again for your help/advice.

Hi Curio,

Just to emphasise .. it is very important to keep all the Windows programs updated at all times .. ok:
