Teenager in a 6 year old body |

Does anyone have the same problem as me?
When we were kids thats what we were. We didn't answer back, didn't claim to be the best or know it all.
my 6 year old step child knows it all, answers back, gets into serious strops, tantrums etc. It's like living with a teenager. Its not only with me she's like this with her father. she's with us 90% of the time and it feels as we have a 'I know everything, you know nothing'. She hates being corrected and disciplined. She hates it when it doesn't go her own way. I thought this sort of thing only hit when they became teenagers. Fashion conscious (spelling) wanting make up, insisting that the music be to her liking ..... loud, so consumer aware .... it frightens me. If she's like this now what will she be like at 13?
YOu tell her not to run and eat but the answer you get is 'i know' so she carry on and then you she her choking. you tell her not to run with glass in hand reply ' i know' carries on doing it and then band aids have to come out.the list goes on. everything is 'I know', but carries on doing it anyway. I know they need to learn and get hurt but she seems to enjoy pushing to the limit.
whether it be because of the divorce i don't know, but seeing others of the same age i think it's more to do with growing up too quick

The News of the World's royal editor has been charged with a string of offences after being questioned over alleged mobile phone hacking, Scotland Yard said. Senior journalist Clive Goodman, 48, from Putney is accused of a total of nine offences, including plotting with Glen Mulcaire to "intercept communications, namely by agreeing to access individuals telephone voicemail messages, in the course of their transmission by means of a public telecommunication system, contrary to the Criminal Law Act 1977."Both he and Mr Mulcaire, 35, from Sutton, were also each charged with eight charges of intercepting communications on dates between January and May this year. Both have now been released on police bail to appear at Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court next Wednesday.
:yikes: This is really, really bad! This is a different kind of terrorism methinks! :wall:

The car is packed, the kayaks are tied down and we are ready to leave Denver at around 5.00 am for Cody, Wyoming. Early the following morning we should be in Yellowstone setting up camp. We have fishing rods and with some luck the mountain trout may bite. 6 days later we will head for the Grand Tetons for 2 nights. Then after a few more days in Denver it's a short flight to San Fran for another 5 nights.
The weather is so hot in Denver it is difficult to think of the temp dropping below 0 in Yellowstone at nights.
Anyone else been to Yellowstone with some favorite hiking trails to offer up?
Hope the bears don't visit too close. We have to pull our food up a tree; I thought bears could climb.

My wife and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."
She got up, unplugged the TV and threw out all of my beer!

August 9, 2006
By Madelene Pearson
Melbourne - Gold Fields, South Africa's second-biggest gold producer, said investment demand and central bank buying will help buoy gold prices as supply shrinks.
"China, Japan, all of them have grown their central bank reserves," Terence Goodlace, head of the company's international operations, told reporters on Wednesday at the Diggers and Dealers conference in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Investment demand in bullion will keep increasing, he said.
Bullion prices rose to a 26-year high this year spurred by investors seeking greater returns than stocks and bonds and amid concern about inflation and geopolitical tension.
"In the short term, we certainly see it staying at these sort of high levels, but ultimately coming back to those longer term prices," Goodlace said.
"Over the long term, we look at something like $475 an ounce as a long term gold price. That's what we'll plan at, for a couple for years out."
Gold for immediate delivery fell as much as $6.96, or 1.1 percent, to $635.59 an ounce. It traded at $637.74 at 2.35pm Sydney time. Prices rose to a 26-year high of $730.40 in May.
Central banks, mainly in the US and Europe, hold almost a fifth of the world's gold as a reserve asset. South Africa and Russia have said they want to increase their reserves. Makers of bracelets, necklaces and earrings account for 69 percent of global demand, according to London-based research group GFMS.
"The jewellers play the game of wait and see," Goodlace said.
"They have prices that they'll go in at, so if they see it's going to stay up for a while, they simply can't afford not to be there."
Gold Fields said on August 3 that fourth-quarter profit jumped 25 percent after bullion rose to a record in local currency and it curbed cost increases. - Bloomberg
