Just building a computer up for the kids with parts I have bought and scrounded and have got it up and running but I cannot change the colours up from 16 and the screen resolution is stuck at a measley 600 by 400 and wont go higher. Is this because of poorly integrated graphics and will i need to get a graphics card or am i missing something obvious? I have been in to control panel-display-settings and there is only 1 setting available.

If at times you feel you want to cry
And life seems such a trial
Above the clouds there's a bright blue sky
So make your tears a smile.
As you travel on life's way
With its many ups and downs
Remember its quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.
Among the worlds expensive things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.
Happiness comes at times to all
But sadness comes unbidden
And sometimes a few tears must fall
Among the laughter hidden.
So when friends have sadness on their face
And troubles round them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.

Sunday's Message |

Morning
Sunday's message......God needs His people!
When we give our lives to God, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, when we turn to the cross and understand the price paid for our salvation.....we die to self. We are a 'new' creation.
God chose to work through the imperfect, the frail, the despised, the poorest of the poor....He chose US with all our faults, warts and blemishes to do His will on earth. God chose to reveal himself through us, to the world.
Now, the question...how can He do that if we are not willing to GO! If we are not willing to share what Jesus Christ has done in our lives, to speak of the work He is doing in us and through us? God needs our feet, He needs our hands, He needs our ears and eyes.....the Holy Spirit will do the rest. He will work through our frailties, our lack of knowledge, our inabilities...if we would just allow Him.
Our lips are His to reach others...those in pain, those hurting, those in distress, those who are lost...He will speak to them, through us....imperfect humans but all the same, 'works in progress'. We must simply make our vessel available for Him to use...the Holy Spirit does the rest......
So, ask God for boldness, ask God for opportunities.....and allow Him to do the rest unny:

When There's No Where To Turn |

They say that behind every cloud is a silver lining
And I guess this is true.
But finding the bright spot behind each cloud
Is largely up to you!
If everything in sight looks hopeless,
Try to find one spot,
That doesn't look quite so dark
It doesn't matter what!
When there's no where to turn that you can see,
It's time to look above.
Our Lord will come into your heart
And fill it with His love!
Think and pray until you see,
Just a glimmer of light.
Then one by one toss the rest behind you,
Until you make it bright!
Talking to God each day will help.
Your troubles He will share.
So if you're troubled with no where to turn,
Just talk to Him - He's always there!

An Unconditional Love |

His dear wife now had Alzheimers,
her mind in a bad way;
He placed her in a care home, but
he saw her every day.
He brought her favorite roses
and a Persian cat to touch;
He'd sing to her and brush her hair,
"I love you ~ oh, so much!"
Sometimes he'd read her stories
or explain things on TV,
He longed to hear her call his name
but knew it couldn't be.
One day a patient watched them ~
how he'd gently hold her hand,
The patient, filled with wonderment, said
"I don't understand...
"She doesn't even know you, sir,
you might as well be dead!"
"I guess that's true," he answered,
"Ah, but I know her," he said.

I Thought I Knew |

I did not know His Love before, the way I know it now.
I could not see my need for Him, my pride would not allow.
I had it all, without a care, the "Self-sufficient" lie.
My path was smooth, my sea was still, not a cloud was in my sky.
I thought I knew His Love for me, I thought I'd seen His Grace,
I thought I did not need to grow, I thought I'd found my place.
But then the way grew rough and dark, the storm clouds quickly rolled;
The waves began to rock my ship, my anchor would not hold.
The ship that I had built myself was made of foolish pride.
It fell apart and left me bare, with nowhere else to hide.
I had no strength or faith to face the trials that lay ahead,
And so I simply prayed to Him and bowed my weary head.
His Loving Arms enveloped me, and then He Helped me stand.
He Said, "You still must face this storm, but I Will Hold your hand."
So through the dark and lonely night He Guided me through pain.
I could not see the light of day or when the storm might wane.
Yet through the aches and endless tears, my faith began to grow.
I could not see it at the time, but my light began to glow.
I saw God's Love in brand new light, His Grace and Mercy, too.
For only when all self was gone could Jesus' Love Shine through.
It was not easy in the storm, I sometimes wondered, "Why?"
At times I thought, "I can't go on." I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.
But Jesus Never left my side; He Guided me each day.
Through pain and strife, through fire and flood, He Helped me all the way.
And now I see as never before how great His Love can be.
How in my weakness He is Strong, how Jesus Cares for me!
He Worked it all out for my good, although the way was rough.
He only sent what I could bear, and then He cried, "Enough!"
He raised His hand and Said, "Be still!" He Made the storm clouds cease.
He Opened up the gates of joy and flooded me with peace.
I saw His Face now clearer still, I felt His Presence strong,
I found anew His Faithfulness, He never did me wrong.
Now I know more storms will come, but only for my good,
For pain and tears have helped me grow as naught else ever could.
I still have so much more to learn as Jesus Works in me;
If in the storm I'll love Him more, that's where I want to be!
