The orca is the largest member of the dolphin family and can weigh up to nine tones and grow to be 20 to 30 feet long. Porpoise and dolphin species are similar at first glance, yet have noticeable differences. The porpoise has spade-shaped teeth, whereas the dolphin cone-shaped teeth. Porpoise fins are triangular; dolphin fins are hooked or curved. Coral can replace human bone in surgery.

Since the architecture and chemistry of coral are very similar to those of the human bone, coral has been used as grafts in helping human bones heal quickly and cleanly. Orthopedic surgeons use coral in bone grafts because the body readily accepts the coral, and the various muscles and tendons grow into the coral structure as if it were actual human bone. Run-DMC was the first rap group to earn a gold album.

Run-DMC earned a gold album in 1984 for their album Run-DMC. It was also the first rap group to earn a platinum album (for King of Rock, in 1985) and the first to appear on Saturday Night Live. Their success launched a rap music craze that has since turned into a subculture with its own fashion and lifestyle. The Beverly Hillbillies called their swimming pool an oil slick. |
