I thought Myseost was goat cheese :confused: Not too keen on normal "white" goat cheese though.

Another good one to try is Boillie if you can get it - a bit milder and good for eating as an aperitif or glazing slightly for a salad.

Buffalo milk products (milk, cream, cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream) are also very good for those who are lactose-intolerant.
Some branches of Waitrose used to stock buffalo milk products, otherwise do an internet search or check out your local farmer's markets.
The buffalo farmer in our area almost went under last year, but I see that more of his products are available now, so hopefully his business continues. You can find him on

Note : Not the scary Cape buffalo you're thinking of, these are Indian water buffalo.

Excellent quality goats' cheese can be bought for around 1 Euro ( 68 pence ) for a 180-200 grams roll , in any half-decent supermarket ( Auchan , Carrefour , Aldi , Lidl , Casino , Intermarche...);
in rip-off U.K. : Waitrose and M&S prefer much fatter profit margins , for pretty much the same product , imported from France ( same producers , most likely );
better not to have it with any bread , but with rye/sesame dietary biscuits rather ;
goes well with any heavier red wine , from Cabernet Sauvignon upwards , bur particularly Bordeaux , Medoc , 1-es Cotes de Blaye , St. Emilion , Margaux...
Bon Appetit!
