Which town was besieged by Boer forces for four months during the South African War?
Mafeking, until the Quizz Master said that was wrong, then I went and chatted to Mr G and he said:
Kimberley was besieged by Boer forces for four memorable months, from 14 October 1899.
Why I would have said Mafeking as my first answer, as it was the famous siege of Mafeking that was the origin/start of boy scouts by Lord Baden Powell. When he trained young boys to escape the town.
