Oh Sue, bless your heart!
It sounds like my experience...even used the same words, that my body felt like it had been poisoned, and it has! Everything in you is resisting the chemo and your normal cells don't know that you need it and it's for your good. I did find that as it went on, my body took longer to bounce back. :tired:
The cold was SO cold, (in spite of the weather outside) and my neighbour would rub my legs because they were so sore and twitchy/restless. Do ask for different nausea tablets if the ones you're taking aren't efficient. After a while I stopped taking the steroids after the 2nd day as they made me feel so ill, and that helped somewhat, though they're meant to help your metabolism digest the chemo. Just lie down or sit or walk or whatever makes you more comfortable, let your body rest because it needs that the most. I found the nights and early morning hours the worst and loneliest. Wanted visitors but didn't want them , only certain people at certain times. :crysniff:
Anyway it certainly will pass and only be a memory, so let this reminder help you through. Our prayers will carry you when you don't feel up to it yourself.
Love, Jen
